Fundraising and Communications Intern10/820/CHI/EGJZ
This role is primarily to execute the Fundraising and Communications functions to support and promote the work and activities of Children in Hospital Ireland. Duties will include to plan, manage and supervise existing fundraising and awareness/ promotional campaigns. Develop partnerships with current and potential contributors including foundations, nonprofits, corporations, etc. generating income and developing sustainable sponsorship relationships. Implement the organisation's internal and external communications plan, ie website content updating and maintenance, newsletter and bulletins, use of PR tools and promotion of the organisation through a variety of media and advertising. Develop communication and promotion strategies for the organisation's main events Responsibility for the design, development, and sourcing of marketing and display material to promote CHI's work at events, conferences etc. Raise the awareness of CHI's activities and services among the relevant publics. Work closely with the CEO and other staff members to implement the organisation's fundraising and communications plans. Act in accordance with CHI's internal administrative processes and work with the administrator as required Other duties, within scope of capabilities, as required.

skills3rd Level Qualification, preferable to Masters level, in a relevant discipline, eg fundraising, communications, marketing. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability and experience in writing press releases and creative material in fluent English to deadlines. Administrative competences including Computer skills - proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, use of the internet and website management. Experience in a fundraising/communications role, ideally in the voluntary sector and an understanding and sensitivity to children's rights is desirable.
