Full membership to Volunteering Ireland is open to non-profit organisations that involve volunteers in their work or support volunteering.*
Our members comprise many types of organisations working in a variety of sectors, including Arts, Culture and Media, Animals and Environment, Social Work, Sports and Recreation, and everything in between.
Our member organisations range from large non-profits operating with many staff and volunteers to small organisations with only a few staff members as well as organisations comprised entirely of volunteers.

- Helpdesk offering expert advice in the area of Inclusive Volunteering, volunteer management, resources
- Extensive library of resource materials relating to volunteer management – recruitment, training, retention, motivation
- Range of factsheets on volunteering issues including garda vetting, expenses, inclusive volunteering and insurance
- Access to tailor-made consultancies on volunteer management from a panel of trainers/consultants
National volunteering network:
- Access to other organisations involved with volunteering in your field and area
- Volunteering Matters quarterly e-newsletter, which includes national and international updates around volunteering, news from member organisations and recent activity at Volunteering Ireland
- Daily news updates on volunteering nationally and internationally, including events and news from your organisation, available on the Volunteering Ireland website
Support for volunteer management:
- Complimentary volunteer management toolkit, which includes a volunteer programme self-assessment checklist, volunteer manager job description and more (currently in development)
- Membership to the Professional Association of Volunteer Managers Ireland (PAVMI), a national network and support group for volunteer managers, for a volunteer manager from the organisation

- Input into the direction and focus of advocacy work that Volunteering Ireland promotes on both a national and international level
